Steinberg to run new Pennine Lancashire regeneration agency

Max Steinberg, chief executive of Elevate East Lancashire, the housing market renewal pathfinder, has officially been appointed chief executive designate of the new Pennine Lancashire Development Company into which Elevate will evolve.

PLDC is due to be launched early in the summer following Government's recent approval of a new multi area agreement for the area.

Seven local authorities are involved in the new set-up; Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley, Rossendale and Lancashire County Council.

Steinberg said: "The new PLDC will deliver parts of the Multi Area Agreement including housing market renewal and a number of important economic development initiatives. This will provide a valuable opportunity for organisations and individuals to work together and use their combined skills and experience to make Pennine Lancashire a better place to live and invest."
