St Modwen sells first unit at Chamberhall
Developer St Modwen has sold an 18,000 sq ft unit at its Chamberhall Business Park to Dutch thermal management company Burgaflex for £1.8m.
The sale is the first since construction at the 17-acre business park began in June 2019. The site is located off the A56 a quarter of a mile east of Bury.
Burgaflex started operating from its new premises, for which it signed a 249-year lease, at the end of 2019 having moved from its previous location at Phoenix Park industrial estate in Heywood.
The 123,000 sq ft Chamberhall Business Park, which comprises 14 units ranging between 25,000 sq ft and 2,500 sq ft, is targeted to complete by the end of February.
St Modwen is in talks to sell a further 65% of the units, with announcements expected within the next six to eight weeks, a spokesperson added.
The deals under discussion are for a combination of sales transactions and short-term leases with the option to buy.
Lindum is the lead contractor and Pozzoni is the architect.
Knight Frank and Nolan Redshaw are the retained agents at Chamberhall Business Park.
