St Martin’s Lodge for sale at £1.5m

Agent Legat Owen has been instructed to sell the former Cheshire Constabulary office building in Chester, overlooking the city's Roodee racecourse.

Located on Nicholas Street, the 4,667 sq ft property has remained vacant since Cheshire Constabulary relocated to Winsford.

Will Sadler, associate director at Legat Owen, said: "There has already been interest in the property to turn it into a pub or restaurant. Other uses have included turning it into a house, using it for office space, a boutique hotel, but most interest has been to turn the property into a restaurant.

"The property is on a prominent site and has a lot of unrealised potential so we anticipate a quick sale. It has remained vacant for a couple of years."

The 1.2 acre site is available on a freehold basis and guided at £1.5m.

Sadler declined to disclose details of the property owner.
