St Helens appoints water treatment firm

St Helens Council has appointed Skelmersdale-based Hydraclean to undertake monthly monitoring of installed hot and cold water services on all council-owned houses.

The £369,660 contract includes sampling water for the bacteria legionella, inspections of water tanks, shower disinfections and other related testing.

The duration of the contract was not disclosed.
