Square One completes Kingfisher Square

Affordable housing developer Square One Homes is close to completing a 12-home scheme at Warrington's Kingfisher Square, the first project to receive funding from Cheshire & Warrington Enterprise Partnership's £12m Growing Places Fund allocation.

The Kingfisher Square show home will officially open on Saturday 19 April while the remaining development is due to complete in May.

Square One was awarded £235,000 in August 2013 towards the scheme, which cost a total £722,000.

The project is designed to provide affordable housing for first time buyers and key workers in the area. Whitfield & Brown was the main contractor on the scheme.

Mike Dowse, director of Square One Homes said: "Kingfisher Square has been purposely designed to meet the needs of first time buyers and key workers in Warrington. The stunning new show home will be officially opened on Saturday 19 April when prospective purchasers can view the unique design of this quality new development.

"The support from the Growing Places Fund has been key to the delivery of this project. We have worked closely with the Cheshire & Warrington Enterprise Partnership throughout the process to keep them fully involved in our project."
