Spenhill submits Liverpool resi plan

Spenhill Developments, the regeneration arm of supermarket Tesco, has submitted an outline planning application to Liverpool City Council for a 37-home scheme in Aigburth Road.

The proposals for the 2.7-acre brownfield site will provide a mix of housing for private and affordable rent.

Spenhill said it would look to sell the site to a developer able to bring forward the housing if planning permission is granted.

DPP submitted the application on behalf of Spenhill.

Smith Smalley Architects designed the scheme while BMD advised on the landscape masterplan.

A spokesman for Spenhill said: "New homes are needed in Liverpool and Aigburth Road is a great location for a range of family homes. These properties will bring the site back into use for the long term and contribute toward the continuing success and growth of the community."
