Speke shed starts on site

Work has started on a 97,000 sq ft warehouse on Goodlass Road, Speke, for clients of Prime Property Consultancy.

The 4.72-acre site was acquired earlier this year from neighbouring business Becker Industrial Coatings. Following the granting of detailed planning consent for B1, B2 and B8 use, construction has now started, with completion due in November. The building, known as Prime Point, is to be marketed for sale and to let.

The area, south of Liverpool city centre, is well known as a hub for logistics and industrial development for the Liverpool City Region. Brands represented in the immediate area include Howdens, Tiger Timber and DPD, while Hunts Cross Retail Park is also nearby.

Prime has released a video including timelapse footage of the work so far and how the development will look on completion:

CBRE and Matthews & Goodman are instructed as joint agents.

Prime is also working on the M60 Office Park in Swinton, Greater Manchester, where its clients have spent £10m on the acquisition and redevelopment of the former Clifton Business Park.
