Speedy Hire picks Dunlop Heywood
Manchester-based Dunlop Heywood has been appointed by Speedy Hire as agent and asset manager across its UK property portfolio.
Dunlop Heywood will be responsible for the marketing of Speedy's national vacant estate together with its future acquisition programme. No figures were available for the number or size of the vacant premises. Speedy Hire has a turnover of £500m and operates from 325 sites around the country.
In addition, Dunlop Heywood will also be responsible for providing leasing, asset management, building surveying, building consultancy advice, rating, valuation and investment advice. The account will be run out of both the Leeds and Manchester offices and was won following a tender process. Dunlop Heywood replaces Lamb & Swift Commercial based in Bolton.
Alistair Russell, director of Dunlop Heywood, said the firm is "making a name for itself in the niche middle market that has been vacated by the merger or demise of several property consultancies before and during the recession."
He added: "Dunlop Heywood was only launched in 2008 [following the demise of Dunlop Heywood Lorenz] but we now have 28 members of staff spread over five offices, including Dublin. We will continue to actively recruit following the Speedy win, among others."
