Southdale cements regional presence with dedicated office

Yorkshire construction firm Southdale is to open an office in Warrington after doubling its order book to in excess of £30m in the North West.

Southdale specialises in social housing and public sector buildings and is currently working on jobs in Manchester, Bolton, Lytham and Rochdale.

The Warrington office will open in September and house 20 staff headed-up by a regional director which Southdale is currently looking to recruit.

The company will shortly complete phase two of a £10m, 111-unit housing scheme on the Heyhouse estate on the Fylde coast on behalf of New Fylde Housing and Fylde Council. Southdale also does a lot of work for Great Places Housing Group, based in Manchester.

Paul Moore, managing director of Southdale, said: "The last 12 months have proved to be an exciting growth period for Southdale in the North West and we're keen to build on this success.

"Despite the difficulties within the construction sector over the last two years, we're delighted to have a forward order book of over £30m worth of new schemes in the pipeline that will lead to the creation of hundreds of new jobs across the region."
