Soapworks adds site manager
Jennifer Bamber has joined the Soapworks as site manager of the emerging office development in Salford.
Bamber was facilities and estates manager at Charles Topham Group until 2009 responsible for managing the company's commercial and residential portfolio of 25 buildings over 15 sites.
She will work alongside the joint venture partners Carlyle Group, Nikal and Abstract Securities and letting agents Jones Lang LaSalle and Canning O'Neill to "get across the scope and ambition of the redevelopment to potential occupiers, stakeholders and other interested parties using a plethora of interactive resources available on-site in the marketing suite."
The 20,000 sq ft first phase of the scheme, the Boilerhouse, was fully let to Vital Services Group for an IT training academy in November 2012.
Contractor Galliford Try is on site with the second phase, the 210,000 sq ft refurbishment of the former Colgate-Palmolive factory into offices.
Great appointment and good to see Mrs Bamber back in action!
