Smoke & Dough signs at Liverpool One
American-Italian restaurant Smoke & Dough has taken a 7,000 sq ft unit on Liverpool One’s Terrace to open its first venue in the UK.
The restaurant will include 150 covers and a late night bar of 50 covers with an outdoor seating area.
Founded by Chef Deepak Bahuguna and Sachin Bajpai, Smoke & Dough is an interactive restaurant centered around an open kitchen smoke house. Every table has a lava coal pit so customers can grill their own meat and fish. The restaurant also serves sourdough pizzas, including crispy duck and chicken tikka, alongside burgers and flat breads.
Alison Clegg, director, asset management, Grosvenor Europe, said: “Smoke & Dough will deliver an enjoyable, engaging and interactive dining experience. The brand’s approach will add a fresh dimension to Liverpool One and is aligned to our enlivenment vision for visitors.”
Smoke & Dough adds to the list of independent dining and bars at Liverpool One, including Aether by The Alchemist, Thaikhun’s bar, The Club House by New World Trading Company, and Lunya.
Cushman & Wakefield and Metis Real Estate Advisors acted for Liverpool One. Smoke & Dough dealt direct and the restaurant was designed by an in-house team.
Grilling your own meat at your table? Sounds interesting. Good to see even more restaurants at Liverpool one!

Alcohol and lava coal pits. What could possibly go wrong.

Yes and what if people don’t cook their meat properly – presume it’s your own fault? Sourdough Pizzas sound good though!
