Smith & Sons details next auction

The Wirral-based auctioneer is offering 21 lots at its next sale on 29 June.

Smith & Sons said the lots mainly offer houses in need of refurbishment and houses offering good investment potential.

The auctioneer added that there are residential and commercial investments providing yields in excess of 10% and one regulated investment in Wallasey.

Smith & Sons added that land at Arrowe Avenue in Moreton provides a residential development opportunity for at least one detached house or bungalow.

A ground floor flat in Wallasey was sold prior to auction, but vacant properties in Cole Street and Grange Road West in Birkenhead, guided up to £100,000 and £130,000 respectively, offer accommodation suitable for workshops, storage or offices.

A pair of semi-detached houses in a cul-de-sac in Prenton, guided up to £150,000, are also available either for owner occupation or investment.

Smith & Sons said particular interest is being shown in Old School House in Raby, guided between £220,000 and £225,000, which is a converted school set in a rural position and offering original features combined with modern fittings.

Chris Johnson, Smith & Sons auctioneer, said: "This auction offers a number of potential investments at realistic prices for a broad range of buyers. The market continues to focus on properties under the £100,000 price bracket where strong yields can be obtained.

"We have had good interest in the catalogue and we look forward to seeing how the bidding goes on the day."

The Smith & Sons auction will take place at 2pm on the 29 June at the Village Hotel in Brombrough, Wirral.
