Sky call centre to expand

BSkyB has extended its occupation at BAM Properties' St Peter's Square offices in Stockport, adding the 5,673 sq ft top floor to the 23,500 sq ft it took in March 2010.

The customer service centre for TV, Broadband and home phone services is set to create additional jobs in the town.

The new Sky contact centre opened in June last year. BSkyB now occupies 62% of the building, designed by HKR Architects.

Kerrie-Anne Miller, director of service at Sky, said: "Stockport has already provided Sky with an excellent team of people. We place the customer at the heart of everything we do and we now need more talented, enthusiastic and committed employees to help maintain the high standards we set ourselves."

Edwards & Co and GVA Grimley advised BAM Properties. Cushman & Wakefield advises BSkyB.
