Skinny Drinks takes 42,800 sq ft at Mersey Reach
The low-calorie drinks manufacturer signed a 10-year lease at the Aintree industrial park, which is now at 90% occupancy for its first phase.
Skinny Drinks Group is taking up a new build detached unit within the development, which is owned by Northwood Urban Logistics. The new unit is a substantial increase for the company. Previously, Skinny Drinks held a 12,035 sq ft unit that was also at Mersey Reach.
“Due to our business facing a period of unprecedented growth, we have made the decision to relocate to bigger manufacturing premises in order to accommodate additional machinery and processing equipment,” said Ian Minton, co-founder and CEO at Skinny Drinks.
“Mersey Reach provides high-quality new build accommodation for our drinks manufacturing business in a high-profile location, which is well connected by road for our customers and staff,” Minton continued. “We are very pleased that we were able to upsize and remain as a tenant on Mersey Reach, which works very well for our business.”
Skinny Drinks joins fellow tenants Selco Builders Merchants, Euro Garages, and Hardy at Mersey Reach. The industrial and logistics scheme is located off Dunnings Bridge Road in Aintree.
JLL and B8RE acted as agents for Northwood Urban Logistics on the lease deal. Skinny Drinks was unrepresented.
Construction on the second phase of Mersey Reach has already begun. When complete, the logistics development will boast an additional 102,000 sq ft across 12 new built units. Triton Construction is the main contractor on the project. It is scheduled to be complete in January 2022.
