Sixteen adds building consultancy service

Sixteen Real Estate is set to create a building consultancy team, following the recruitment of David Whitney from Lambert Smith Hampton.

The Manchester agency was established in 2016 when directors Nick Nelson and Andrew Backhouse left Colliers International.

Whitney was a director of Lambert Smith Hampton and has 17 years’ industry experience. He is joining Sixteen to establish the building consultancy team and provide a full range of services, with a focus on project and development management.

Nelson, co-founding director at Sixteen, said: “Given our extensive asset management mandates it was essential that we could offer our clients a bespoke building consultancy service. In our first three years we have overseen major projects throughout the North West including Atlas Business Park, City Tower, 80 Mosley Street, Origin, 340 Deansgate, 1 King Street amongst numerous others.”

Sixteen has also relocated into a new office within Origin, at 70 Spring Gardens.

Nelson continued: “We felt that this growth presented the opportunity for us to put down roots in Origin as the team now stands at six, specialising in offices, retail, leisure and industrial with partners Alex Haig, Nicolas Harrington, Amelia Barratt and Andrew Backhouse.”
