Drinkwater is also looking after the Scotland regions and is one of three business development managers appointed by John Sisk & Son.

Jeremy Collett, who has 30 years experience in the construction industry, joins from Wates, where he developed business in the hotel sector. Collett will focus on increasing Sisk's presence in the south of England.

Chris Dyer, Sisk pre-contract director, said: "We want to maintain and build on the revenues achieved last year and I am delighted that Jeremy, Max and Linsay are joining to help us reach our goals. These are exciting times for Sisk as we continue to grow in the UK."

John Sisk & Son reported an increase in revenue to £278m in 2010 from £161m the previous year.
