Shred-it signs for Sale expansion space

Information security business Shred-it has signed a fresh 10-year lease at the Corner House office, expanding to occupy the whole 12,000 sq ft building.

The Corner House, at the junction of Dane Road and Cross Street, is owned by Property Alliance Group. The expansion will accommodate a total of 120 employees who will provide support services to the business, including accountancy, credit control and a customer services function.

Owen Holder, estates surveyor at Shred-it, said: “Since setting up in Manchester in 2007 with just five staff, we’ve expanded rapidly as demand for our services has grown. Our Sale office has proved to be an ideal location in terms of attracting and retaining staff, providing easy access to public transport and the motorway.

“Being able to expand within our existing space has ensured minimal disruption and that we can continue to strengthen our services in an established location.”

Rob Peill, head of offices at Alliance, said: “Shred-it has been one of our tenants for more than 10 years. We are pleased to be in a position to support its growth, providing the flexibility for the company to stay in its existing space and accommodate more staff.”

Shred-it has 170 service centres in the UK and across the world and offers a full suite of services designed to protect private information including paper shredding, hard drive destruction and workplace security policies.
