Shoosmiths hires three

The law firm has expanded its real estate and construction teams in Manchester with the appointment of two senior associates and a litigation solicitor.

Matthew Forrest joined from Hill Dickinson, and specialises in property litigation work for retailers, developers, investors, utility and telecoms companies. Neil Armstrong moved to Shoosmiths from Weightmans, and specialises in construction and engineering matters. They are both senior associates.

Real estate litigation solicitor Sophie Kindon joined from DAC Beachcroft, and has experience of acting for landlords, tenants and portfolio holders across a range of sectors.

Harold Brako, head of Shoosmiths' Manchester office, said: "Matthew's, Neil's and Sophie's arrival again demonstrates our commitment to building our presence here in Manchester with class-leading experts in their field. This is an extremely exciting time for the Manchester marketplace and the team here at Shoosmiths continues to expand rapidly as we match our offering to local demands."

Shoosmiths' real estate group is spread over seven offices with a team of more than 35 partners and over 230 lawyers and staff.
