Shoosmiths adds three

Law firm Shoosmiths has added conveyancing to its suite of services in Manchester and announced senior hires in its banking and real estate teams.

Shoosmiths has appointed conveyancing partner Lisa Gibbs, signalling the launch of the Northern Shoosmiths’ conveyancing offering. She joins from Simpson Millar, where she managed the Manchester conveyancing team, and previously worked at Irwin Mitchell and Eversheds.

Tim McNamara is returning to private practice at partner level, having spent seven years with RBS, the first six of which he spent leading transaction management for the bank’s corporate real estate finance teams across the North of England. Before joining RBS, McNamara was a managing associate in the finance division at Addleshaw Goddard.

The third new arrival is real estate partner Paul Gidman, who was previously at DWF and brings with him extensive experience in development and investment work.

Vaqas Farooq, head of Shoosmiths in Manchester, said, ‘In a competitive marketplace, we continue to attract the very best of Manchester’s legal talent; individuals like Lisa, Tim and Paul who have built up years of experience and are leaders in their respective areas of law.”

The firm will soon move into its new office at XYZ in Spinningfields.
