Seybourne buys in Knowsley

A Seybourne Estates business has acquired Image Business Park on Knowsley Industrial Park in Liverpool for £3.5m.

The site was purchased from Acorn Developments (Kirkby), a subsidiary of IPP, and was formerly one of Kodak’s largest sites in the UK. The park comprises more than 38 acres and provides 400,000 sq ft of office, warehouse and industrial space, with key tenants including Surface Transforms, Future Industrial Services and Ames Goldsmith.

Seybourne said that it plans to undertake selective development to release 15 acres of the site for industrial or warehousing on a build-to-suit basis with units from 50 to 250,000 sq ft.

Industrial specialist agency LM6 advised Seybourne.

Phil Morley, director at LM6, said: “We are seeing renewed interest across the Liverpool city region from investors and developers and this purchase is a ringing endorsement of the park and the latent potential of the wider city region.”

Knowsley Business Park as a whole is home to over 3,700 businesses.

Having acted for the buyer, Knowsley Image Business Park Ltd, LM6 has been retained to secure occupiers for new development. The vendors were represented by Keppie Massie.
