Seven firms picked for Manchester property framework

Seven consultants have been chosen by Manchester City Council for its valuation and property professional services framework, which runs for four years.

Under the framework, the advisors will provide specialist services including property advisory; property acquisitions, valuations, and disposals; and landlord and tenant advice.

The winners are Capita; Colliers International; Cushman & Wakefield; Gerald Eve; GVA; Lambert Smith Hampton; and Savills.

The framework began last month and will run until 2022. It sits separate from CAPPS, Manchester City Council’s CAPPS framework, which runs across 21 lots with most of these awarded last year.

Jonathan Stanlake at GVA said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Manchester City Council and extensive experience in working with the public sector. By drawing on our knowledge of Manchester and expertise within the property sector, we’re looking forward to playing an active role in shaping the future of the city.

“As well as delivering day-to-day support to Manchester City Council, we’ll be providing a strategic view that will allow the local authority to get the most out of its existing property assets and new acquisitions.”
