Steve Lyons, managing director, MSO Workspace, said: "We decided we'd like to open a facility in Manchester and the Hive was one of the first buildings we looked at. The space works incredibly well and location with its easy transport connections, coupled with the vibrancy of the Northern Quarter makes it the perfect fit for us. We're looking forward to opening."

Angela Fielding, senior projects director, Argent said: "MSO Workspace's offer lends itself to the building, and as we saw with the success of the Classroom there is a great deal of demand for flexible working environments in Manchester."

Tenants at the Hive include 5 Plus Architects, Gooey Creative, Join the Dots, Online Ventures Group, Fatsoma, Spacemen Creative, Bakerie Wine Store, Pie & Ale, the Arts Council and the Studio event space.
