Select Property Group appoints senior digital strategist

The Cheshire-based developer, retailer and operator of investment property brands has recruited David Ancell as head of digital, as part of the development of its e-commerce and online content strategy.

The group recently launched its private rented sector brand Affinity Living and is expanding its Vita Student and CitySuites brands. Ancell’s role will see him maximise online engagement with Select’s student and young professional customer base.

With more than ten years’ experience at Manchester agencies Amaze and TBWA, Ancell works across a range of disciplines including website and app development, pay-per-click, search engine optimisation and social media.

Former clients include Dyson, Pizza Hut, Lexus and leading the EA Games account across all European markets.

At Select he will develop the look and feel of the group’s portfolio of websites and deliver new sites and applications.

Ancell said: “Select is revolutionising the sector with dynamic brands that focus completely on the customer experience. There is a huge opportunity to put digital at the very core of the customer journey, both at the purchasing stage, and by integrating digital into the living experience in every Select property.”

Select Property Group is headquartered in Alderley Edge.

The group is in a joint venture partnership with Bruntwood to deliver the residential aspect of a £750m mixed-use scheme on the former BBC site in Manchester, and is on site with a CitySuites aparthotel in Greengate, Salford.
