Sefton win for Conlon

Preston-based Conlon Construction has been awarded a £4.5m contract by Sefton Council to build a new community centre in Netherton.

The two-storey building will include a sports hall, library, creche, community rooms, staff offices, youth club, IT suite, fitness suite, activity studio and a specialist play facility called Jake's Sensory World.

There will also be new external works, footpaths and car parking.

Upon completion of the new community centre, the existing building will be demolished and the areas landscaped.
