Seddon has started on a £13.5m scheme for Great Places Housing Group in Gorton, designed by architect Nicol Thomas.
The Bolton-based contractor will build 131 homes on the site of a former running track on Melland Road, including 34 two-bed, 82 three-bed, and 15 four-bed houses for sale, rent, and shared ownership.
The development is being brought forward by Great Places Housing Group’s private sector arm Cube Great Places, while the homes will be marketed through Great Places’ affordable homes company Plumlife.
Seddon is expected to complete the project in December 2019.
Duncan Williams, regional director at Seddon, said: “This top-of-the-range development showcases the best of our ability in delivering quality new-build properties alongside housing association partners.
“We’re proud to be able to improve local communities and are confident that the finished scheme will be a thriving addition to the area.”
Other projects Seddon has completed for Great Places include a two-phase 150-home development in Longsight. The contractor is also set to build a further 150 homes with Great Places during 2018-19.
