Seddon lands social housing jobs

Seddon Construction is set to deliver 145 new homes in the North West in projects worth a total of £11.5m for five housing associations.

Jonathan Seddon, managing director of Seddon Construction, said: "There is a growing need for new homes throughout the country with a particular demand for affordable housing. These projects will provide a large number of new houses for families in the North West and we are looking forward to handing the schemes over to our clients who already have residents waiting to move in."

Ninety one new homes will be built on behalf of Liverpool Housing Trust in Castlefields, Runcorn. The houses will be built in two phases with work having already started on phase one which will be completed in July 2011.

Birch Grove, a development of 15 new homes will be built on behalf of Regenda in Stalmine near Fleetwood; South View will provide 11 new homes for New Progress in Leyland; a total of 24 new homes will be built in Crosston, Preston for Adactus and a further four for Riverside in Halton, Merseyside.
