Seddon appoints regional lead

Builder and developer Seddon has appointed Ed Wootton from Galliford Try as regional director for North West construction.

Wootton replaces Carl Wilde, who left in February to join Robertson after 18 years with the company.

Wootton has worked at Galliford Try for 22 years, after starting his career there as a graduate trainee engineer.

He will now lead the construction division from Seddon’s North West office in Bolton.

Wootton will also head up Seddon’s small works, maintenance and painting divisions which have recently been successful in securing a series of contracts for clients such as Co-operative Food and Premier Inn hotels, as well as securing a place on all lots on the North West Construction Hub Low Value Framework.

Wootton said: “The company has been involved in a number of prominent projects including One City Place in Chester and will soon commence on site with schemes for Stockport Council and Pegasus Life in Wilmslow. I look forward to growing Seddon’s portfolio of work with major retailers and leading developers.”
