Secured Mail takes Winwick Quay warehouse

Secured Mail Group taken the 25,022 sq ft former Dawson's News warehouse on Calver Road at Winwick Quay, Warrington.

The depot is the third Secured Mail base alongside its Aintree head office and site in Dartford.

The independent company has agreed a ten year lease at a headline rent of £5/sq ft with a private trust.

Secured Mail was established in 2004 and granted a licence to handle bulk mail delivery including transactional mail and direct mail.

Mark Bigley, managing director of Secured Mail, said: "This new site is a central part of our growth strategy, and will allow us to build on our success so far."

The building was originally built to a high specification and was extensively refurbished following vacation last year.

Secured Mail, an employer of more than 120 people with a turnover of £32m, was attracted by the immediate M62 motorway access and the quality of the accommodation.

The private trust was represented by Eileen Bilton Partnership as sole agents, while Fletcher King Investment Management is the managing agent.
