Scottish Widows signs first tenant at Cheadle estate

SGM Contracts, which maintain parks and gardens equipment for Stockport Council, has taken 5,928 sq ft of space at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership's Lawnhurst Trading Estate in Cheadle.

Lawnhurst Trading Estate comprises 200,000 sq ft of industrial space and was recently purchased by SWIP. It is asset managed by Centurion Industrial Asset Management.

Michael Jones from Centurion Properties said: "Securing SGM so soon after the acquisition is a great start and with plenty of interest in the other vacant units we anticipate more deals in the near future."

Mark Sillitoe from joint letting agents Jones Lang LaSalle added: "Properties like Lawnhurst will always prove popular due to the ideal combination of good quality accommodation on a well managed estate at competitive rental levels."

Jones Lang LaSalle and Lambert Smith Hampton acted for the landlord.
