Science parks trial hot-desking deal
Manchester and Liverpool Science Parks have collaborated on an 'Innovation Pass', a pilot hot-desking scheme for tenants at both sites.
The project gives users free access to hot desks and other facilities at sites in Liverpool, Manchester and Salford.
LSP tenants can use free wi-fi, free parking, conferencing facilities and break-out areas at two of Manchester Science Parks' four sites. In return, MSP tenants can use LSP's enterprise suite, break-out area, hire of the boardroom, conference facilities and wi-fi.
Lynne Barlow, commercial director of MSP, said: "Manchester and Livepool Science Parks share the same aims of helping our tenants to grow and encouraging cross sector collaboration. This is an excellent opportunity for our tenants to extend their presence in the North West."
LSP tenants will be able to use hot-desking facilities at MSP's Oxford Road campus and Salford Innovation Park and MSP tenants the same at the LSP site on Brownlow Hill and Mount Pleasant. As this is a pilot scheme the parks are limiting numbers to two per day on a first-come, first-served basis, bookable 24 hrs in advance through receptions on both sites. The offer is completely free for tenant companies – the only costs associated are the hire of any meeting rooms at either site, the same as tenants would pay at their 'home' site.
Chris Musson, chief executive of Liverpool Science Park, added: "We at LSP are always keen to find additional ways to add value to our tenants' businesses. With this is mind, we have joined forces with our opposite numbers down the M62 at Manchester Science Parks to trial a new hot desking initiative for our respective tenants."
