Sandy Brown doubles Manchester office space

The building acoustic consultancy has taken 1,700 sq ft in the Bounds Building on Sackville Street, near to the site of one of its largest ongoing jobs, the residential-led £250m Kampus neighbourhood.

Sandy Brown advises on acoustics, noise and vibrations. Other North West schemes include the Storyhouse cultural centre in Chester and the new Anfield stadium in Liverpool.

Kampus on Aytoun Street is being built by Capital & Centric and Henry Boot Developments on a site formerly owned by Manchester Metropolitan University.

Sandy Brown said that the move from Piccadilly House to Sackville Street would allow it to expand its team of engineers.

Property Alliance Group is the landlord of the Bounds Building at 68 Sackville Street. Sandy Brown has taken a 10-year lease on its office space.

Mark Howarth, partner and head of the Manchester office, said: “We have an exciting project portfolio and are continuing to see growth in many of our core sectors. This move creates the capacity for us to expand, ensuring that we can actively pursue new opportunities as well as meeting our current demand.”
