Sanderson sells industrial sites for administrators

Sanderson Weatherall has sold the former premises of two failed firms to new occupiers in deals totalling £1m.

Industrial premises and offices spanning 13,700 sq ft at Manchester Road West, Little Hulton, Greater Manchester, have been bought by Bolton-based polythene sheeting supplier Frank Mercer and Son.

The premises were sold on behalf of Begbies Traynor, joint liquidator of Henderson Engineering, for £180,000.

In the second deal, a 35,436 sq ft unit on Marshfield Bank Industrial Estate in Crewe was bought for £800,000 by non-food catering equipment supplier Alliance Disposables. The unit was sold on behalf of Grant Thornton, administrator for K&M Industrial Developments.

Rory Dillon, senior surveyor, asset advisory and recovery at the North West office of Sanderson Weatherall in Manchester, secured the sales. He said: "We are encouraged by securing these sales, which go to show that successful, well run, owner occupier businesses are expanding their operations and providing further jobs in the current market."
