Salford Uni refreshes contractor framework

The University of Salford has appointed a large pool of contractors to a four-year framework agreement to provide construction works across its campus.

The agreement covers individual jobs of up to £3.4m, carrying out refurbishments, alterations and new builds.

The contractors were appointed in the following lots:

General construction: J Greenwood, Construction Partnership UK, Allenbuild, Morris & Spottiswood, Citybuild, ROK Building, Harry Fairclough, Bardsley Construction, White Building Services, Conlon Construction, Cruden Construction, HT Forest, Garside & Laycock, McGoff & Byrne, Seddons, Manchester and Cheshire Construction, John Turner, ISG.

Civil engineering: Bethell Construction, Lagan Construction, AE Yates, Westshield, Mayfield Construction, Harry Fairclough Construction, Balfour Beatty, FJ Goodwin & Sons.

Electrical installations: John Dawson, ATG, Embladec, GR Bayley, WMB, A Copeland, Mitie Engineerin, Cruden Construction, Performance Electrical, Morris & Spottiswood, Quartzlec.

Mechanical installation: A Longworth & Sons, Murray Building Services, Ellesmere Engineering, J Fletcher, James Mercer, T Jolly, Mitie Engineering.

Asbestos removal: Lamas Thermaclad, Northern Insulation Contractors, EMS Services, Pectel Group, Forest Environmental, Kitsons Environmental, LAR.

The panel will be reviewed after two years.
