Salford University has developed a new postgraduate course in housing, regeneration and sustainability that can be completed part time using the internet.

The university said the distance learning MSc course has been designed for housing professionals currently working and want to further their careers by developing a range of personal, professional and academic skills.

Anya Ahmed, of the school of environment and life sciences, said: "The University liaised closely with local housing practitioners to develop an original programme that meets the changing needs of the social housing and education fields."

The course was developed after a successful bid to the North West Higher Level Skills Pathfinder which is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
