Salford names bridges framework

Salford City Council has awarded places on a civil and highway engineering framework to AE Yates, Balfour Beatty, Eric Wright, Harry Fairclough and Volker Laser.

The two-year framework is for the construction of structures, bridges and subways.

Contracts will be awarded for projects up to the value of £4m, although most schemes delivered through the framework are expected to be between £150,000 and £2m.

As part of Salford's agreement, any current or future council members in the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities will be able to use the contractors in the framework.
