Salford Aldi plans approved

Salford Estates has been granted planning permission to build a 16,000 sq ft Aldi store and two non-food retail units totalling 10,000 sq ft at Salford Shopping Centre.

The development extension will provide a 117 space car park, accessed from Heywood Way, together with improved pedestrian areas and links to the existing shopping centre to the north.

Debbie Illingworth, associate director at Salford Estates, said: "The new Aldi and additional non-food retail units will bolster the current offer at Salford Shopping Centre and will act as a catalyst for further redevelopment in the area".

Salford Estates was advised by Peter Brett Associates, on transport advice, surveyor GVA and NW Architects.
