Ryder expands Liverpool office

Jonathan Shaw has been appointed as senior architect at the studio as it continues its growth in the region.

At Ryder Architecture, Shaw will work on projects alongside partner Paul Bell and architectural director Gareth Callen.

Shaw previously worked at ABW Architects, also in Liverpool, for the past eight years – most recently as an associate. He focussed on designs for clients working in the higher education and further education sector, as well as developer-led leisure projects.

Paul Bell, partner at Ryder, said: “We’re delighted to have Jonathan join our team in Liverpool.  Despite the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the industry, the practice is proud to have shown resilience and strength over the past 12 months, demonstrated by ongoing investment in our people in Liverpool and the North West.”

Shaw added: “Ryder is a practice I’ve admired for some time – it’s respected for its quality architecture, excellence in delivery of services across the region extending to an international client base, and the value it places in its people.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the business in the middle of unprecedented growth and look forward to building on its long-term success, in particular the leisure and residential portfolios, and nurture existing relationships in the region.”
