Russell & Russell names property lead

The Bolton-based solicitors has appointed Alex Walsh as head of commercial property.

Walsh joined the practice from Napthens in Preston where he acted for a number of clients including Booths and Northern Trust. He will work from Russell & Russell's head office in Wood Street, Bolton and will deal with all aspects of commercial property law, including acquisitions and disposals, leases and licences, portfolio management, property finance and development.

Walsh replaced Luke Dolby, who relocated to Yorkshire due to family circumstances.

Stephen Crompton, managing partner at Russell & Russell, said: "Although we have offered a commercial property service for some time, it hasn't been a major focus of the business. That said, over the years, we have built an extensive network of contacts and a solid customer base which I'm sure Alex will develop further. He has an exemplary track record and his experience of working with large corporations, banks, owner managed businesses, charities and individual investors will complement our offer."

In addition to the head office at Wood Street, the practice operates from offices in St Georges Road, Bolton as well as Atherton, Bury, Chester, Farnworth, Horwich and Middleton.
