The Salford-based regeneration firm has gained further contracts on school projects in Greater Manchester.
Run Services was sub-contracted by GB Building Solutions, a privately owned building contractor based in Surrey, to carry out refurbishment work at Ridge Hill School in Stalybridge.
Work included the modernisation of six toilet blocks, four cloakrooms, the reception area and external works to the playground.
Run Services started work in September last year which took six months to complete. The building firm has since gained a further contract at the school to build an extension of the building for a new foyer.
GB Building Solutions also sub-contracted Run Services for a six-month internal refurbishment contract at Abraham Moss Learning Centre in Crumpsall, which was completed in September last year.
GB Building Solutions is the main contractor on the £17.5m rebuild and refurbishment of the Crumpsall-based school, which is part of Manchester City Council's successful £509m Building Schools for the Future and Academies programme, an initiative since scrapped by the coalition government. Work at Abraham school is due for total completion by summer next year.
The contracts at Ridge Hill and Abraham schools were worth a total of £350,000 to Run Services.
In addition, Run Services has also gained a contract to carry out refurbishment work on Yew Tree School in Chadderton, Oldham, in Tameside. The project involves a new build classroom extension and courtyard teaching space. Details of the value of this contract were not disclosed.
Anthony Woods, managing director of Run Services, said: "We are working on some really interesting projects at the moment and have been involved in some landmark schemes from the regeneration of the Liverpool Gateway to refurbishing a mortuary at Aintree University Hospital. We want to play a decisive role in regenerating communities: more than just improving the external envelope of homes and other buildings, we want to repair the fabric of the communities. Our work with local schools is helping to go towards achieving that aim."
