Roydon takes Swinton industrial unit

The Ainscough Group claims to have secured one of the largest lettings in the North West this year at Junction Business Park in Swinton, near Salford.

Over 130,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation has been let to waste management and recycling company Roydon for an undisclosed sum.

Located to the north of Manchester city centre in the semi-rural Irwell Valley, the 48-acre site provides a total of approximately 200,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation, 65,000 sq ft of offices and around seven acres of open storage.

Aside from the storage land, Junction Business Park is currently 85% let and is home to Moda Furniture, and Carlick. Ainscough acquired the site two years ago.

Paul Nolan, from Nolan Redshaw, who advised Ainscough, said: "This is a landmark letting, both for the region and for Junction Business Park. There are still substantial areas of land available for a wide and flexible variety of short, medium and long term use, from storage to redevelopment."

Roydon is relocating from Fieldhouse Industrial Estate in Rochdale.
