Royal Liver Building atrium being launched

The official launch of the new atrium in Liverpool's Grade I-listed Royal Liver Building is being held next week.

Claremont Group Interiors, which is holding the event with CB Richard Ellis and the Royal Liver Group, started work on the second phase, known as the "atrium phase", in July this year.

Chester-based architecture firm Acies were involved with the £970,000 first phase of the refurbishment of the Royal Liver Building on George's Dock, which was completed in May this year.

The initial phase involved the refurbishment of the main West Entrance and reception area and a new glazed entrance within the portico to improve access.

In this latest stage, Claremont's design concept included the restoring of the north and south corridor and West Entrance atrium, which links to the completed West Entrance reception and central corridors on the upper floors.

The official launch event takes place on Wednesday 4 November at 5pm.
