Roger Hannah Auctions sale raises £2.1m

The latest Roger Hannah Auctions property sale raised £2.1m.

From the initial 34 auction lots on offer at Lancashire County Cricket Club, nine were sold prior to auction and a further 18 were sold in the room and immediately after.

Sales amounted to 80% of the lots offered.

Among the lots was 74 and 74a Bury Old Road, a multi let mixed use investment yielding 8.75% which sold for £100,000, 33% over reserve.

Another notable sale was the pre-auction deal agreed on Lot 8a, Plymouth Grove that was sold for £850,000 at least £450,000 more than another auctioneer achieved last year.

Another lot was the building which houses Irlam Conservative Club, pictured.

Stuart Cooper, director of Roger Hannah Auctions, said "This auction has been our best sale so far in 2013, showing an upturn in market confidence and the continued establishment of the Roger Hannah Auction brand in the North West.

The next Roger Hannah Auctions sale is scheduled for the Wednesday 12 June 2013, with entries accepted up until Tuesday 14 May.
