Rochdale riverside plans get go-ahead

Spotland Developments has been granted planning consent for a mixed-use development on four acres of former industrial land alongside the River Spodden in Rochdale.

Outline consent has been granted for 175 flats and houses, 20,000 sq ft of office and industrial space and 27 live/work units.

The area on Spotland Road was formerly used for the Dextine Rubber Works. Architects Frank Whittle Partnership designed the project.
