RLB appoints industrial head from Amazon

Consultant Rider Levett Bucknall has appointed ex-Amazon logistics manager Duncan Robertson as a commercial partner to lead its industrial business in the North.

Robertson, who will work out of RLB’s office in Salford Quays, has more than 25 years’ experience in the logistics sector, having previously worked for Tesco, Sainsburys and Ashton Smith Associates.

He joins RLB from Amazon EU, where he was EU standards and programme manager and responsible for developing standard designs, process and cost for Amazon fulfilment centres and logistics centres across Europe.

RLB’s logistics clients include Amazon, Harworth Estates, Lidl, Morrisons, and Royal Mail.

Other senior hires for RLB this year include Conor Ellis, EC Harris’ former healthcare lead.
