River Street secures ERDF funding for Knowsley site

Around £2m of European Regional Development Funding has been secured to transform 9.3 acres on Coopers Lane in Knowsley into a business park.

The project is being brought forward by River Street Assets LLP and aims to provide new, good quality workspace.

The brownfield site is located at the entrance to Knowsley Business Park and will provide two separate buildings subdivided into 13 individual units.

The ERDF funding will enable the site clearance, preparation and infrastructure works to accommodate approximately 136,701 sq ft of office accommodation.

David Malpass, director of the European programme at the North West Development Agency, said: "ERDF investment is really going to transform Knowsley's Business Park, providing much needed space for businesses looking to move into the area. The mixed-use nature of the business park will ensure that a variety of businesses are catered for, making this an attractive location for investment in the future."
