Right to light consultancy hires from JLL

GIA, the multi-disciplinary surveying and design consultancy, has added to its Manchester team with the appointment of Joe Bradbury as associate partner.

Bradbury previously worked at JLL in the building consultancy department.

Headed by Sam Wallis, the Manchester office of GIA was established in January this year at 2 Commercial Street and now employs six people. The office is the first outside of London.

GIA, formerly known as Gordon Ingram Associates, specialises in right to light, daylight and sunlight, and party wall issues. The decision to open in Manchester follows its appointment to advise Renaker on its Owen Street project, which will deliver 1,400 apartments over four high-rise towers.

Other clients include the Manchester Life Development Company, Capital & Centric, and Balfour Beatty Investments.

Wallis said: “Joe has extensive expertise in dilapidations and project management. I am confident that his skills will provide a valuable additional resource for our new office.”
