Ridge bulks up regional strength

Property and construction consultancy Ridge has made a series of appointments and promotions at its Liverpool and Manchester offices.

Paul White has returned from a stint with Ridge in China to head up an architecture team being established in the Manchester office. Also in Manchester, Chris Bradburn and Chris Haworth have been promoted to equity partner level and Nick Bangham to partner. Kevin Hudson has been promoted to the role of associate in Liverpool.

The promotions build on a series of hires for the group in recent months. These include Liverpool-based principal designer Peter McConville, who arrived in late 2018, having previously worked for Aspect Construction; Bridget Sutherland in project management, quantity surveyor James Fellowes and Naomi Spinsby-Wild in administration and marketing.

Of the senior promotions, Bradburn specialises in building services engineering and led on Ask’s 101 Embankment office development, a project that led to work on the adjoining residential scheme Embankment West for Select Property Group.

Haworth works in project management, primarily within transport, with his CV including work on the Birmingham city centre tram extension project.

Jason Howard, equity partner at Ridge’s Liverpool office, said: “The North West economy remains strong and the drive among developers to re-assert the economic power of its key cities continues to boost our workload. These promotions recognise the huge effort our people put in to delivering for our clients on a diverse range of projects.”

Ridge’s headcount across its Liverpool and Manchester offices now extends to a hundred, including contract staff, working within a national set-up of 600 people across 11 locations.
