Ribble Valley approves Taylor Wimpey homes

Planning consultancy Turley, acting on behalf of Taylor Wimpey, has secured planning approval for 195 new homes in Longridge, Lancashire.

Ribble Valley Council approved the detailed design for the scheme at Dilworth Lane. The scheme comprises a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses and bungalows. The development will also provide landscaped open space, play areas and recreation areas.

The outline application was approved in March 2015, and the project has now received reserved matters approval.

Gareth Bancroft, planning manager at Taylor Wimpey, added: “For local people, the approved plans will mean an investment of over £3.5m, improving local infrastructure and services for Longridge. We are now able to ensure that we are planning positively for the local community, including families, first-time buyers and key workers.”

The outline scheme was prepared by Randall Thorp and MPSL have taken these plans forward to deliver the detailed layout for the site.

Taylor Wimpey will now look to continue discharging relevant conditions attached to the planning permission, with construction of the first homes scheduled to commence in spring 2016.
