The day before the big announcement, Carmody Groarke’s Windermere Jetty Museum in Cumbria is still considered a strong contender to claim the award, according to bookmakers William Hill.
The bookies have placed the museum’s odds at 11/4, making it the second safest choice. However, the clear favourite is the Cambridge Central Mosque, which has the odds of 7/4. The mosque was designed by Marks Barfield Architects.
Behind those two is Tintagel Castle Footbridge, which has odds of 9/2. Both 15 Clerkenwell Close and Town House at Kingston University boast odds of 5/1. Key Worker Housing in Eddington has the longest shot of being named winner according to the bookies – they put its odds at 11/2.
