Revolution owner revamps head office

Inventive Leisure, owner of Revolution bars, has appointed interior designer Sheila Bird Group to refurbish its 10,000 sq ft head office at 21 Old Street in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Roy Ellis, chief executive of Inventive Leisure, said: "We had been thinking of remodelling our existing head quarters for a number of years and it was in fact Chris Oglesby at Bruntwood that highly recommended Sheila Bird to us. The team's understanding and innovative approach to projects, was what interested us and it will ensure that our new office is not only reflective of our culture, but supports the way our staff work and need to work."

Manchester-based Sheila Bird was founded 25 years ago and clients include Amaze, MediaCom, BKH dental group and 24 Lever Street in the Northern Quarter.

Atul Bansal, co-founder of Sheila Bird, said: "We are immensely proud of how the business has evolved over the last 25 years, keeping close working and longstanding relationships with our clients as a core principal, to ensure that all projects are not only innovatively designed, but truly work for its staff. We strongly believe interior design is not a question of staff per square foot, but how they work, interact and engage within that space after we hand it back to the client, and we look forward to working with Roy to create the appropriate space for Inventive Leisure.

"It is also an exciting time for the company as we will soon see a long-term project for a well-known oversees client come off our drawing board. We have worked as project designer and coordinator, facilitating their requirement for a presence in Greater Manchester, working in close partnership with a number of talented Manchester organisations to ensure delivery for this project, namely Andrew Timms at Edwards & Co. and Richard Parkinson at Turner Parkinson Solicitors. They have both been outstanding local partners and fundamental in delivering this project to Greater Manchester. Andrew currently has terms agreed on 17 buildings throughout the area, with a further seven to be agreed in the coming two weeks, totalling 170,000 sq ft in 24 separate locations. These are expected to go into legals in the coming weeks."
